Daily health checks for every server
An automated check now runs every day across all our servers. It looks for certificates close to expiry, services that have stopped, and backups that didn’t run or didn’t reach off-site storage, and alerts the team if anything is wrong. More in How we protect your data.

Game-server backups you can restore yourself
Daily backups for game servers, restorable from the panel, on every plan at no extra cost. We keep your three most recent daily backups, plus manual backups you take yourself: one on Tiny, Starter and Pro, three on Enterprise. Databases aren’t included in these backups, so please still keep your own copies of anything important.

Stricter passport check-digit validation in Veriwell
Veriwell now requires every check digit in a passport’s machine-readable zone to pass before it accepts a reading. Check digits catch misread characters, so a wrong document number or date is caught at capture instead of later. A relaxed mode is still used for the live “we can read it” hint while you line up the document.

Sound, voice and vibration cues in Veriwell capture
The camera steps in Veriwell now give feedback you don’t have to look at: a tick when the camera locks on, a chime when each step is captured, a spoken prompt for the next move, and a short vibration on phones that support it. It helps most during the head turns, when the screen is out of sight. Mute it once and Veriwell remembers. The same code is now open source as veriwell-capture.

vestra.systems mail moved to our new mail server
Email for vestra.systems addresses now runs on our new mail server, alongside vestracorp.com. Outgoing mail is signed with DKIM, so receiving servers can confirm it really came from us, which helps it land in the inbox rather than spam.
